Peggy

Peggy was in the council pound and was due to be put to sleep imminently, so finding a rescue space for her was mega urgent. We offered her a lifeline and picked her up from the kennels. Once there, however, we realised she was a little bigger than we'd anticipated, but she eagerly jumped in the van, excited for her next adventure. Peggy is a big bundle of fun. She loves to play and is very gentle when taking her toys or treats. Since picking her up from the pound, PAWS has had her spayed and she has had the 1st of her vaccinations. Peggy is now also on Synoquin for large breeds to help support her joints. She is currently in foster care and has been a very good girl, clean in the house and sleeps well at night. In fact, her foster carers have to wake her up in the morning as she's reluctant to get out of bed! Peggy likes her food and enjoys cuddles and gives kisses with those she knows. She travels really well and loves to go in a vehicle, her initial excitement soon turns to snoozing in the back. Since visiting the vet we have discovered that Peggy has mild hip dysplasia and will need to start a course of physiotherapy and hydrotherapy to help her build muscle to support her hips in the long term. We've purchased a really supportive bed from Tuffies Dog Beds at a cost of £125 to help provide extra comfort. Peggy is around 3 years old and is a mastiff type. She has oodles of love to give and would make someone with a secure garden a most loyal and wonderful companion. We will be looking for a home for Peggy with no young children, perhaps over 12's may be considered. Maybe another larger dog in the house, perhaps a steady neutered male would be ok. We can offer lots of help and support from our team of dog trainers and behaviour experts, to help anyone who may want to offer this lovely girl the life that she deserves.
Peggy will leave for her new home Spayed, Microchipped, Vaccinated and treated for fleas and worms.
Adoption fee £350
