    Today the PAWS volunteers rallied at Gordon Riggs Garden Center based in Walsden, to engage the public in supporting local animal welfare. Activities such as an Easter colouring, hook-a-duck game (with prizes), tombola and cakes & buns were on offer and many attended.     Today PAWS received an email from the Coop Local Community Fund, who have been supporting us with our ventures. The Coop Said "The funding period for your project on the Local Community Fund finished on 8 April. Congratulations, you've been awarded a total of £4,363.49. You’re one of more than 4,000 causes across the UK who’ve benefitted from the Local Community Fund and are making a difference in their communities."     The Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust was set up in 1982, by Mrs Jean Beryl Lilian Sainsbury, and is a registered charity (No. 326358). Since then, the Trust has given over £8.4 million to animal welfare charities. http://www.jeansainsburyanimalwelfare.org.uk/ The Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust has awarded us £3000 towards our operation costs.
