Hi, My name is Duke.

I am a one year old male Labrador cross and I have lost my home through no fault of my own.

I am a lovely boy, medium sized, with a well balanced temperament, friendly but not too overly- excited. I know some commands but I would benefit from more training and would no doubt enjoy the enrichment that it brings. I travel well in the car but would benefit from some lead training.

I could live with respectful children 7 years plus but I have not beencat tested. I will be tested with other dogs to see how I get on. If you could give me a second chance I could reward you in spades.

Duke was found wandering around the road by a concerned passer-by and taken to the local vet in Rochdale.  He is a lovely boy and has proved himself to be a well-rounded young man so far.  He has not been cat tested or fully dog tested yet but was very appropriately behaved around children who were respectful of him.  He travels well in the car but can be strong on the lead so would benefit from some lead training.  He is currently still being assessed but would make a wonderful family pet.  He will need plenty of exercise and also a secure garden with 6ft fencing.  Duke loves food so should be easy to train on a reward basis.

Duke is currently in boarding kennels so we are looking for a foster or forever home as soon as possible for him.  Fostering / rehoming is subject to a home check and he will be neutered as soon as possible as he is currently intact.
